Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Software Engineer to develop, sustain, and troubleshoot its software suite, including integration with COTS and FOSS components. A Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance is required, and candidates cannot be sponsored for clearance.

Requirements include advanced degrees in CS or related fields and 5–9 years SWE experience in complex programs; proficiency with Java, Spring, SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years of SWE experience, or Bachelor's with 7+ years, or 9+ years in similar scope.
• Experience with Linux CLI and tools and scripting with Bash/Python.
• Recent Java development experience and Spring Framework (Boot/Data/Integration).
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes; Helm charts for deployment.
• Familiar with messaging frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka; CI/CD with Bamboo and GitLab CI.
• Experience with IaC (Ansible) and Git source control.

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer that shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required skills:

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools


• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python


• Recent software development experience using Java


• Recent software development experience using the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Integration


• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL


• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB


• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd


• Experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes


• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment
