Job summary

Erias Ventures in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and sustain the GHOSTGEM software suite, including DINO, with Linux, Bash, and Python expertise.

You will work on integration with COTS, GOTS, and FOSS components, apply CI/CD practices, and contribute to secure, scalable solutions for mission-critical systems. A Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance is required. We value problem-solving and open communication.

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer who shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications including DINO. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Familiar with Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System

Desired skills

• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
