Job summary

Erias Ventures is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize data ingress/egress for analytics workloads using Linux, Bash, Python, Java, and Spark-based processing. A current Top-Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, with no sponsorship possibility.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in dataflow design and Apache Spark-based processing.
• Experience designing data ingress/egress for analytics workloads.
• Current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance within 7 years is required.
• Strong Linux background (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/Ubuntu) and admin experience.
• Experience with Delinea (Secret Server, PAM, DevOps Secrets Vault) and directory services integration (LDAP/AD/FreeIPA).
• Familiarity with IAM, PAM, cert-based authentication, and security best practices.

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer who shall possess extensive expertise in dataflow design, data transport mechanisms, and Apache Spark based distributed processing. In this role, the Software Engineer shall be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data ingress/egress pathways to ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable processing of the organization’s analytics workloads.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Recent software development experience using Python and Java
• Strong background in Linux administration such as RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu
• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting at least one Delinea product (e.g., Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault)
• Experience integrating Delinea with directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, FreeIPA).
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), certificate-based authentication, and security best practices
• Experience troubleshooting system-level issues in distributed environments, including logs, services, networking, and authentication
• Familiarity with API-based integrations, RESTful services, and secrets automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secret‑handling patterns
• Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution

Desired skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience supporting enterprise security tools or working in a cybersecurity-focused software engineering role
