Job summary

Viridien is seeking a highly skilled computational scientist to advance its proprietary HPC software for seismic processing on GPU/CPU architectures. You will work on geophysical algorithms, parallel computing, and performance optimization within a globally distributed team.

The role requires deep math/physics/engineering background and strong C/C++/MPI/CUDA skills, plus experience with UNIX and full software lifecycle. This hybrid role offers substantial growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or 5 years of hands-on experience in scientific programming.
• Fluency in C/C++ (Fortran also preferred).
• Experience with MPI, CUDA, or other type of parallel computing.
• Experience with UNIX / POSIX programming.
• Highly experienced in debugging / profiling /optimizing.
• Highly experienced with HPC architecture and full lifecycle of development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-end geophysical algorithms for seismic processing, imaging, and interpretation.
• Participate in design discussions, development, and deployment in large-scale computing facilities worldwide.
• Collaborate with distributed developer, researcher, and user teams to deliver scalable software.
