Job summary

Viridien is seeking an experienced HPC software engineer to develop and optimize geophysical algorithms for seismic processing and imaging. You will work on high-performance computing applications across GPU and CPU architectures, collaborating with a global team of researchers and developers.

The role requires deep knowledge of parallel programming, strong mathematics/physics/engineering background, and a track record in scientific software development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or 5 years of hands-on experience in scientific programming.
• Fluency in C/C++ (Fortran also preferred).
• Experience with UNIX / POSIX programming.
• Highly experienced in debugging / profiling / optimizing.
• Highly experienced with MPI, CUDA, or other parallel computing.
• Scientific computing on various HPC architectures.
• Experience with full lifecycle of development, including product release.
• Innovative mindset and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-end geophysical algorithms for seismic processing, imaging, and interpretation.
• Participate in design discussions, development, and deployment in large-scale computing facilities.
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed developer and research teams.
