Job summary

Viridien seeks a highly skilled professional to advance its proprietary high-performance computing software for seismic analysis. You will develop geophysical algorithms, optimize code for GPU/CPU, and collaborate with a globally distributed team of researchers and developers.

The role requires a strong background in parallel computing, MPI/CUDA, and HPC architectures, plus a proven track record in debugging and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Physics/Engineering/Math/CS, or 5 years of scientific programming experience.
• Fluency in C/C++, Fortran also preferred.
• Experience with UNIX/POSIX programming.
• Strong debugging, profiling and optimization skills.
• Experience with MPI, CUDA, or other parallel computing.
• Scientific computing on HPC architectures.
• Full development lifecycle including releases.
• Innovative mindset.
• Motivated and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain geophysical algorithms for seismic processing, imaging and interpretation.
• Participate in design discussions and deployment in large-scale computing facilities.
• Collaborate with a distributed developer, researcher, and user community.
• Work on GPU and CPU architectures for Viridien’s HPC applications.
