Job summary

Optiver is seeking an HPC Engineer to contribute to the development and management of our research infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud platforms. You will design, scale, and support HPC and storage systems, collaborating with software engineers to deliver a fully integrated research platform for our quantitative and options research initiatives.

Ideal candidates have Linux expertise, IaC tooling experience, and a passion for HPC environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Linux systems and environment.
• Exposure to IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Understanding of cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Interest in high-performance computing environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure scenarios.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams globally.

Responsibilities

• Design and support HPC and storage systems on-premises and in cloud clusters (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Troubleshoot OS, storage, network, and infra issues with other teams.
• Support innovation in research infrastructure with new technologies.
• Manage diverse compute capabilities including CPU and GPU.
