Job summary

GIGATEC Engineering is seeking a Tier 3 escalation lead to support production HPC environments. You will automate infrastructure, orchestrate secure software releases, and deploy containerized services with precision.

You will partner with Operations & Maintenance to unravel complex issues, drive root-cause analysis, and implement automated solutions that prevent recurring failures. This role sits at the intersection of performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Linux CLI and tooling.
• Proficient in IaC with Ansible automation.
• Python development including custom modules.
• Containerization with Docker, containerd, Podman.
• Kubernetes deployments and Helm chart creation.
• DevOps/GitOps practices, release prep, pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tier 3 escalation for production HPC environments, automating infrastructure and secure releases.
• Partner with Operations & Maintenance to diagnose root causes and build automated prevention.

As the Tier 3 technical escalation lead, you’ll partner with Operations & Maintenance teams to unravel challenging infrastructure issues, uncover root causes, and build automated solutions that prevent recurring failures. Required Skills

• Linux command-line interface and tools
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and Ansible automation
• Python development, including custom Ansible modules
• Containerization with Docker, containerd, and Podman
• Kubernetes deployments and Helm chart creation
• DevOps/GitOps practices, release candidate preparation, and pipeline maintenance and troubleshooting
• Git branching strategies and release tagging
• Technical documentation, including installation guides, troubleshooting runbooks, and architectural diagrams
• Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
• Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
• Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools, such as NetBox
• Enjoys the occasional coffee-fueled brainstorm and recreational interest in witty exchanges.
