Job summary

GIGATEC Engineering is seeking a Tier 3 escalation lead to automate production HPC environments, orchestrate secure software releases, and deploy containerized services with precision. You will partner with Operations & Maintenance to resolve complex issues, uncover root causes, and build automated, preventive solutions across performance, security, and reliability.

The role requires Top Secret clearance, polygraph favorable completion, and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires Top Secret clearance and successful polygraph completion
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and no visa sponsorship available
• Proven experience managing infrastructure in production and automated release pipelines
• Strong scripting and automation mindset with secure, reliable deployments
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and document solutions clearly
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cross-team collaboration
• Experience with container orchestration and scalable infrastructure
• Proactive in identifying root causes and preventing recurring issues

Responsibilities

As the Tier 3 technical escalation lead, you’ll partner with Operations & Maintenance teams to unravel challenging infrastructure issues, uncover root causes, and build automated solutions that prevent recurring failures. Required Skills

• Linux command-line interface and tools
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and Ansible automation
• Python development, including custom Ansible modules
• Containerization with Docker, containerd, and Podman
• Kubernetes deployments and Helm chart creation
• DevOps/GitOps practices, release candidate preparation, and pipeline maintenance and troubleshooting
• Git branching strategies and release tagging
• Technical documentation, including installation guides, troubleshooting runbooks, and architectural diagrams
