Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Data Center Technician / Project Coordinator to support a high-performance computing (HPC) environment for a major enterprise customer. This role balances hands-on infrastructure work with customer interaction and project coordination in Shelton, CT, onsite.

You will manage enterprise server, storage, and networking hardware, lead project status meetings, and provide regular updates to customers, ensuring successful execution of infrastructure initiatives and alignment with

Qualifications

• US citizen required to work on enterprise projects.
• Experience as Data Center Technician or Infrastructure Technician or similar technical support role.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for enterprise server, storage, networking, and data center infrastructure.
• Coordinate and lead recurring project status meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction.
• Support and maintain HPC environment (HPE SGI 8600) and related storage/networking.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Document project status, actions, infrastructure changes, and procedures.
• Perform hardware installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist planning and coordinating infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
• Ensure work aligns with data center best practices and customer requirements.
