Job summary

Radley James is recruiting an experienced HPC Data Center Production Engineer to own automation and tooling powering its data-center operations in Chicago or New York. This development-heavy infrastructure role sits at the intersection of software, HPC, networking and physical data-center infrastructure.

You will automate provisioning and lifecycle management for servers, switches, PDUs and environmental sensors, build production-grade APIs and tooling, and collaborate with HPC Engineering,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE or HPC environments.
• Strong Go/Golang and Python experience.
• Deep Linux and systems knowledge.
• Experience with hardware provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with IPMI, BMC, Redfish, SNMP or vendor APIs.
• Strong networking fundamentals - L2/L3, VLANs, BGP, Arista/Cisco.

Responsibilities

• Automating the provisioning and lifecycle management of servers, switches, PDUs, CDUs and environmental sensors
• Building tooling for power, cooling and capacity planning
• Developing outage simulation and reliability tooling
• Integrating telemetry and monitoring across data-center infrastructure
• Building production-grade automation, APIs and operational tooling
• Working closely with HPC Engineering, Planning and Operations
• Using AI tools extensively across development, debugging and operational workflows
