Job summary

BCore is seeking an HPC Infrastructure & Cluster Engineer in Springfield, VA to manage and optimize a dedicated compute cluster for NGA operations. The role requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility and CI poly eligibility, plus strong Linux, HPC, and AI orchestration experience.

You will work on end-to-end cluster administration, hardware optimization, and secure, compliant operations across InfiniBand fabric networks and OpenShift environments, supporting mission-critical workloads.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and infrastructure management with a focus on HPC environments.
• Experience with bare-metal servers, enterprise storage arrays, and advanced network configurations (InfiniBand).
• Strong proficiency with workload managers, job schedulers, and AI orchestration tools (Run:AI, SLURM).
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administration, health, and performance of the foundational compute environment.
• End-to-end administration of a dedicated customer compute cluster ensuring high availability, security, and optimized hardware foundation.
• Cluster Administration: Linux OS administration, hardware monitoring, patching, system upgrades.
• Resource and Job Management: Configure and optimize workload management and orchestration platforms (Run:AI).
• Infrastructure Optimization: Tune performance at hardware, OS, and network levels.
• Storage and Network Management: Administer storage solutions and high-speed networking fabrics (InfiniBand).
• Environment Configuration: Provision environments and container platforms (OpenShift).
• Security and Compliance: Maintain federal security standards and accreditations.
