Resource Label Group in California is seeking a Digital Press Operator for the HP Indigo Web Press to produce pressure sensitive labels and related products. The role involves setting up and operating the press to meet job specifications.

This full-time, weekend day shift offers onsite training and opportunities to advance within the printing industry. The team emphasizes quality output, accurate data entry, and maintaining press and workspace efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Five years of experience operating a press in a printing environment, preferably a digital press.
• Five years experience running Films and Paper.
• HP Operator Level 1 Certification.
• Ability to read rulers and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality labels to meet the job specifications outlined on the label order to match customer standards
• Inputs data including time and materials used into job management software
• Reads job order and loads jobs into press, fills ink cans and pumps with prescribed inks
• Starts press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary
• Adjusts printing impression as necessary and runs down approval strip
• Cuts sample of approval strip from printed roll, inspects for imperfections and makes adjustments as necessary
• Communicates job specific information or changes to the supervisor in a timely manner to minimize production downtime
• Report any production or press issues to supervisor in a timely manner
• Keeps inventory usage accurate at all times
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance as required
• Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards
