Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a Transportation Project Manager for our Houston operation. You will oversee complex roadway improvement projects, provide technical direction to engineering teams, and maintain strong relationships with public-sector clients.

The role requires a Civil Engineer, a Texas P.E., and proven experience in transportation design, PS&E, and budget/schedule management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active Texas PE license required or ability to obtain.
• Significant transportation or roadway design experience.
• Experience with TxDOT criteria, manuals and PS&E delivery.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the design and delivery of roadway, highway and municipal transportation projects
• Develop project work plans, schedules, budgets and staffing requirements
• Oversee schematic design, geometric design and PS&E production
• Coordinate drainage, traffic, structures, utilities and other project disciplines
• Provide technical leadership and complete senior-level design reviews
• Manage communication with TxDOT, municipalities and partner consultants
• Monitor project performance and resolve delivery issues
• Prepare scopes, fees and technical content for project proposals
• Coach engineers and support the growth of the transportation team
