Job summary

Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Houston Plant. This on-site, full-time role focuses on maintenance, installation, and repair of wastewater plant mechanical equipment, including gas and diesel engines, heat exchangers, pumps, and conveyors.

A City of Houston Grade 2 Stationary Engineer License is required within six months of hire. You will perform routine boiler checks and safety inspections, lead maintenance tasks, and support uptime for critical

Qualifications

3–5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance in industrial, wastewater, or utility settings.
Strong skills in pump/valve maintenance, electrical systems (LOTO/troubleshooting), and piping infrastructure.
Welding or fabrication experience preferred but not required.
Familiarity with sludge processing, DAF systems, or similar wastewater tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain boiler systems in compliance with City of Houston regulations.
Perform routine checks, minor repairs, and safety inspections of boiler components.
Diagnose and repair plant equipment including pumps, motors, compressors, valves, tanks, and flowmeters.
Conduct preventive maintenance on piping, tanks, valves, and other infrastructure.
Operate DAF units, centrifuges, sludge systems, and level indicators as needed.
Assist with electrical troubleshooting and PLC panel interactions.
Fabricate railings, stairs, and tank supports as required.
Collaborate with operators and technicians to maintain uptime and safety.
