VEG ER for Pets in Houston seeks a per diem Emergency Veterinarian who thrives on fast-paced, mission-driven care. You'll lead the ER team on shift, handle emergencies, triage patients, perform exams, surgeries, and endoscopy, and guide families through treatment options with clarity.

You'll also prepare estimates, maintain medical records, educate clients on aftercare, and collaborate with a compassionate team dedicated to outstanding pet care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Emergency medicine experience including endoscopy.
• Lift up to 25 kg and work in a noisy environment.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Handle emergencies and triage patients on shift.
• Conduct exams, imaging, surgeries, and endoscopic procedures.
• Create diagnostic and therapeutic plans and communicate options to clients.
• Prepare estimates and present them to clients; maintain accurate medical records.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventive care.
