Job summary

Advanced Equipment and Services, Inc. (AESINC), a Veyra company, seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to join its engineering and manufacturing team in Houston, TX. This hands-on role advances projects from concept and drawings to fully manufactured, tested water treatment systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience in mechanical equipment or industrial systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D; able to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
• Experience in mechanical equipment design, fabrication, and construction.
• Ability to prepare and review equipment specs, drawings, and testing docs.
• Strong analytical and practical problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Able to balance multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop GA drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and 2D/3D models using CAD tools.
• Prepare Bills of Materials and technical documentation for production.
• Assist with selection and specification of pumps, valves, piping, and vessels.
• Coordinate engineering with production to align with specs and schedules.
• Develop project timelines and track progress in engineering and manufacturing.
• Participate in FAT and other testing activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during fabrication, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
• Support testing equipment development and procedures.
• Join project meetings to provide technical input on design and requirements.
• Support design and continuous improvement of water treatment systems.
