Job summary

Atlas Copco Compressors LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Business Controller to drive cost accounting, master data governance, and cross-functional analysis. You will partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering to improve costing accuracy and reporting quality.

The role requires strong SAP/ERP experience, SQL, and advanced Excel capabilities, plus a bachelor’s degree in IS, CS, or accounting and at least five years in systems or financial management roles.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in systems analysis and computer programming with ERP/SAP exposure.
• Strong cost accounting knowledge and data querying/reporting proficiency.
• Experience with Atlas Copco methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute detailed cost accounting, product costing, and variance analyses.
• Manage inventory activities, valuation, reserves, and metrics.
• Govern master data for materials, cost centers, GL accounts.
• Support month-end/year-end closes with variance investigations.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering on costing.
• Create and maintain management reports and dashboards.
• Ensure adherence to policies, controls, and data governance.
• Identify process improvements and system enhancements.
• Engage in SAP master data governance and change control.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports.
• Promote Safety First culture and QSHE alignment.
• Undertake other duties to support department goals.
