Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Housing Support Worker to provide housing support services based on the Recovery Model to adults with mental illnesses. You will work within assigned houses, help implement IRPs, and coordinate with treatment teams to promote recovery and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year's experience in behavioral health, social services, or related field that includes providing direct services.
• Valid local driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing support services in assigned houses.
• Implement the Individual Recovery Plan (IRP) and report consumer progress to the treatment team.
• Provide mental health education, support, and consultation to consumers and families.
• Deliver individual mental health services to develop coping and daily living skills.
• Assist consumers in symptom self-monitoring and management to minimize psychiatric impact on daily life.
• Develop and implement strategies to avoid hospitalizations.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Link consumers to community resources and advocate for needed services.
• Document services and billing records accurately in Credible System.
• Attend administrative meetings and supervision; participate in ongoing training.
