Job summary

Good Shepherd Hamilton & Toronto is seeking a part-time housing support worker for Sundays and Mondays, including rotations of days, afternoons, and overnights. The role involves providing housing support services, case management, crisis intervention and supportive counseling in a residential shelter environment.

You will work independently in a values-based setting, with duties such as intake assessments, confidentiality, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• A completed post-secondary education in a related field is required.
• Experience in residential settings preferred.
• CPR certification (or willingness to be certified).
• Ability to speak French and/or other languages is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a caseload.
• Complete an intake and assessment on each resident.
• Design an interview schedule to evaluate quality of life improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of clients/staff and Centre records.
• Observe health and safety rules and work to minimize risk to clients, staff, and property.
