Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado seeks a Housing Case Manager to deliver direct housing support at the Lakewood Navigation Center. You will use housing-focused practices, conduct needs assessments, and support residents toward stable housing and self-sufficiency.

You will coordinate with partners, document progress in HMIS, and promote safety and ethics in daily operations. This role requires a driver’s license and experience with homelessness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or closely related field.
• Colorado driver’s license and automobile insurance; reliable vehicle.
• Experience with homelessness and working in shelter settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs-based assessments, determine program eligibility and provide housing-focused case management.
• Assist participants in securing and maintaining housing, including landlord negotiations and rent determinations.
• Coordinate with community providers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored services.
• Maintain accurate records in Service Point and HMIS; ensure data entry per grant requirements.
• Promote safety, de-escalate crises, and ensure compassionate support within the facility.
