Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a Housing Outreach Liaison to engage individuals in housing crises, help them find safe, affordable housing, and connect them with local Continuums of Care and resources. You will work closely with clients to resolve housing needs and build a network of stable options within the community.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or relevant case management experience in housing; OR
• Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution eligible to provide community support services; OR
• Qualified to provide Community Support, which includes: a mental health professional as defined in 9 CSR 10-7.140(2)(QQ) or any four-year degree with two years of qualifying experience.

Responsibilities

• Practice Housing First, harm reduction, and low-barrier service models when working with individuals or households.
• Attend and participate in Coordinated Entry/Case Conferencing meetings within the local Continuum of Care.
• Outreach to households experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness who are not currently engaged in CPR or CSTAR services.
• Refer and/or transport individuals to services for needs including behavioral health, substance use, physical health, and employment.
• Build and strengthen relationships with local landlords, providing education on community programs and referrals for their units.
• Connect with referrals from Continuum of Care programs to assist individuals with housing stability.
• Utilize SOAR training to assist individuals in applying for benefits.

Education

Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or relevant case management experience in housing
