Job summary

VOALA seeks a Housing Specialist to identify housing options for program participants and assist families toward stable, independent living. You will work with the services team in assessment, planning, engagement, and delivery, supporting case management and community outreach on-site.

Responsibilities include developing housing databases, coordinating with landlords, and facilitating move-in activities and referrals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field; four years equivalent experience accepted.
• Experience with veterans, people in recovery, or homelessness.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and locate housing options for homeless participants and coordinate with VOALA shelters.
• Develop housing databases linking tenants to apartments and communicate with landlords.
• Perform eligibility and assessments to build Individual Service Plans with case management.
• Coordinate move-in activities, rent negotiations, and referrals; engage community resources.
