This full-time position focuses on securing permanent housing for homeless adults, providing essential support and advocacy. Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies supporting services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. They are leading human services organizations in NYC, serving children, youth, families, homeless individuals, and older adults across Manhattan and NYC. Their mission is to promote a fair and just society where everyone can pursue better lives for themselves and their families. The Isaacs Center mainly focuses on children, low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers, operating community centers in East Harlem and Yorkville, delivering impactful, innovative, and intergenerational programs.
Program Description: Baxter Safe Haven provides transitional housing for 75 adults experiencing homelessness, aiming for permanent housing. On-site services include case management, entitlement assistance, medical and psychiatric care, substance use counseling, group activities, meals, recreation, and 24/7 security.
Position Summary: Serve as part of the interdisciplinary team working to secure permanent housing for residents of Baxter Safe Haven.
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 9 am - 5 pm
Salary Range: $40,207 to $47,000
Qualifications: Candidates must meet the required qualifications. Salary will be based on experience and additional qualifications.
