Job summary

Familylinks is seeking a Housing Specialist for its Homeless Prevention Program to coordinate support services for participants, ensuring resources to stay safe, stable, and together. The role emphasizes analyses, service planning, and tracking outcomes with monthly meetings and HUD-related training.

Starting wage is $18-$22 per hour, with full-time potential and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; experience may substitute.
  • 2+ years' experience with homeless population preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and HMIS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; professional demeanor.
  • Self-directed with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Accept and process referrals and secure eligibility data.
  • Inspect apartments to meet county requirements pre-admission and during program.
  • Submit client rental vouchers for reimbursement.
  • Refer clients for job training, education, and housing options.
  • Maintain case records/files for each client admitted to the program.
  • Complete client service plan and progress notes.
