Job summary

Ampact, through Heading Home Corps, is seeking a Housing Resource Navigator to assist Minnesotans facing homelessness in obtaining safe, stable housing. You will meet with participants, set housing goals, and connect them with social services while tracking progress and supporting growth.

The role emphasizes strong relationship building, timely guidance, and commitment to learning. This is an AmeriCorps supported position for the 2026-27 program year with daytime hours, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule depending on hours commitment.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Join Heading Home Corps as a Housing Resource Navigator and you’ll spend your days at a nonprofit organization or public agency that has a mission in housing advocacy, social services, and/or public assistance. We’ll train you to help individuals obtain safe, stable housing and support you every step of the way!

How does it work? You’ll regularly meet with participants and provide guidance as they navigate resources, set housing-related goals, and develop action plans. With individually tailored support, you’ll help people as they build brighter futures!

Essential Qualifications

Perks Package

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 program year. Positions run January 2026–July 2027.

• 40 hours per week
• Daytime hours
• Monday-Friday
• Time off on holidays

Part-time positions are also available at 25 hours per week!

Pay & Benefits

Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $18.42 per hour served and additional perks! Learn more.
