Job summary

Job Store Staffing is seeking a compassionate Housing Resource Navigator to support individuals and families experiencing housing instability or homelessness. This contract role provides case management, resource navigation, and stabilization support to help clients overcome barriers and connect with community services. This contract runs for 4-6 months with potential extension.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Pay: $27-$30/hr.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience with housing instability or homelessness.
  • Experience in case management, social services, resource navigation, or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; able to work with diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Spanish skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals and families with housing-related applications and resources.
  • Assess client needs, identify barriers to stable housing, and develop individualized plans for support.
  • Maintain regular communication with an assigned caseload and document client interactions and progress.
  • Connect clients with housing, transportation, behavioral health, social services, and other community resources.
  • Help clients navigate appointments, applications, and other services needed to promote stability and independence.
  • Provide compassionate, trauma-informed, strengths-based support.
  • Coordinate with community organizations, landlords, and service providers.
  • Complete required documentation, reports, and follow-up.
  • Provide education and information about available housing and assistance programs.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based recordkeeping systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
