Job summary

Bay Area Community Services is seeking a Program Supervisor to lead a team of eight including Care Coordinators, Employment Counselors, and Clinicians. You will oversee daily program operations, direct service, administrative tasks, fiscal oversight, and quality improvement initiatives to maximize client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • At least one year managing direct report staff with responsibility for hiring, performance review and improvement.
  • Three years of management, administrative and leadership experience in the social service field.
  • Demonstrated capacity leading diverse and multi-disciplinary teams toward a common goal.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel and ability to type 45 WPM.
  • Valid California driver’s license, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance; DMV printout required.
  • Travel throughout Alameda County is essential.

  • Be an available and engaged manager, supervise staff including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Hold staff accountable to contract and individual performance standards.
  • CQI: challenge the status quo and implement systems for continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with funders, including documentation, grant management, presentations, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively using strength-based language throughout program management and supervision.
  • Participate in trainings for agency, professional, and personal development.

Job description

BACS Housing Resource Centers coordinate county resources, offer rapid re-housing, provide emergency financial assistance, and operate 24/7 housing navigation for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Program Supervisor will lead a team of eight staff including Care Coordinators, Employment Counselors, and Clinicians. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the daily program operations of direct service programs and will manage direct service, administrative, fiscal, and quality improvement functions that promote the highest element of service provision for the direct care staff and clients they work with.

This is a Tues toSat or Sun to Thurs schedule. Some shared on call

Responsibilities
  • Meet clients where they are to implement consumer-centered services that are needs-driven, strengths-based and culturally relevant.
  • Manage flow of referrals, intakes, and discharges of participants and ensures accessibility and welcoming of all people.
  • Be an available and engaged manager, supervise staff including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. If applicable, provide individual and group supervision to interns collecting clinical experience and hours for licensure in their chosen field.
  • Hold staff accountable to contract and individual performance standards.
  • Constantly challenge the status quo and look for opportunities for continuous quality improvement and implement systems for CQI.
  • Assure that services are provided in compliance with all funders, including documentation, grant management, presentations, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively and conscientiously utilizing strength-based language and philosophy throughout all aspects of program management and supervision.
  • Participate in the delivery and attendance at trainings for the purposes of agency, professional, and personal development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
