Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced and professional Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Case Manager to join our team in Texas. You will handle applicant intake, outreach, assessments, and ongoing case management across 27 counties, coordinating with regional offices and travel 2-3 times weekly within a 100-mile radius.

The role requires a drive for community recovery, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within program

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 4 years of case management experience or equivalent experience.
• Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid US Driver’s License for travel to regional locations; travel up to 100 miles roundtrip, 2-3 times per week.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; comfortable with virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform outreach, intake and assessments of program applicants and gather required documentation to establish program eligibility.
• Maintain a caseload of applicants and regular contacts to adhere to program guidelines.
• Protect applicants’ information and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain client data systems, case notes and documentation; upload and categorize documents.
• Provide updates to applicants regarding case status and next steps.
• Attend program trainings and meetings; engage with a network of stakeholders and agencies.
• Assist applicants with temporary relocation selections when applicable.
• Collaborate with the team to meet program goals and targets.
