Job summary

INLIVIAN is seeking a Housing Inspector to perform HQS inspections for Housing Choice Voucher programs and related housing projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with HUD HQS, city codes, and lead-based paint guidelines, while coordinating with landlords and program participants.

The Inspector will document findings, communicate results, and help arrange necessary repairs, maintaining thorough records and confidentiality throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of HQS and HUD regulations and city codes.
• Experience with residential and multi-family inspections and reporting.
• Ability to prepare clear inspection reports and communicate results.
• Familiarity with code interpretation and landlord-tenant interactions.
• Strong mathematical and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct HQS inspections for Vouchers, rehab grants, and new construction.
• Advise landlords and participants on inspection results and required repairs.
• Prepare inspection documents, reports, and correspondence timely.
• Present HQS information at briefings and landlord meetings.
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality of documents.
