Job summary

NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development seeks a Community Coordinator to perform Housing Quality Standard inspections and support data collection for project-based housing units. You will work across HQE and NYCHA activities, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include independent inspections, data entry into the Elite Database, and collaboration with supervisors to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree with two years of community work or related experience.
• High school graduation plus six years of related community work or activities.
• Equivalent combination of education/experience with at least one year in a related role.

Responsibilities

• Be able to perform inspections independently as to the condition of the dwelling.
• Aim to complete twenty-five inspections per day when scheduled.
• Collect all data from inspections and enter into Elite Database System.
• Ability to carry equipment necessary to perform inspections.
• Communicate clearly with supervisor if issues arise.
• May perform inspections in a team if necessary.
