The Advocate Program, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit, 501 c (3) justice agency that offers probation, diversion, community service, DUI and traffic programs, domestic violence programs, substance abuse and mental health evaluations and treatment to court-ordered individuals. It has expanded to work with juveniles and families in the juvenile justice field, families impacted by family conflict and violence, and homeless individuals and their families.

Job Purpose:

The Program Manager organizes activities and functions to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. The primary responsibility of the program manager is to manage the day-to-day activities of the program, which involves creating and managing program content and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities of the program
  • Supervise a team of housing staff and administrative staff to ensure services are in accordance with best practice service modalities, following Homeless Trust/HUD COC grant requirements
  • Oversee the assignment of caseloads
  • Facilitate meetings to review individual staff performance, caseloads and services provided to veterans to keep the Director abreast of current issues or concerns
  • Reviews program documentation for eligibility and service activities, including case notes, housing stability plans, other required documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements and program model
  • Ensure that client files are properly maintained in accordance with confidential records policy
  • Will assist in providing information for all incoming inquiries about the AP Housing Programs Brother Richard & Brother Raphael
  • Responsible for addressing and resolving landlord disputes and tenancy-related concerns in a timely and professional manner to support housing stability and maintain positive landlord relationships
  • Responsible for representing the program at community meetings, stakeholder meetings, and collaborative events to strengthen partnerships and promote coordination of services
  • Assist with site visit and audit preparation
  • Facilitates and participates in trainings, as needed, to develop and/or enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities brought to supervisor position
  • Implement and manage special projects as assigned
  • Research and advise the Director of needs, trends, and issues within program area and recommend activities and strategies to address them
  • Submit required programmatic paperwork, reports and assignments on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Works alongside Director to facilitate staff development through group and individualized activities as related to analysis of the program, understanding of program development and improved use of individual skills
  • Accepts and responds to supervision by the Director

  • Bachelors Degree or HS Diploma with equivalent experience
