Job summary

Goddard Riverside Community Center seeks a Housing Coordinator to join the interdisciplinary team at The Monument – Emergency Capacity Site in New York, NY. You will help residents secure permanent housing, coordinate services, and support clients through the housing process. The role requires strong communication, organization, and cultural humility.

Rotating hours; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. An Associate degree is required and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with experience

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with homeless adults preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct housing eligibility assessments.
• Complete housing application packages.
• Coach clients through housing interviews.
• Develop linkages with supportive housing programs, NYCHA, real estate companies, landlords, etc.
• Maintain and update listings of permanent affordable housing.
• Develop and facilitate client workshops and individual sessions on skills and information to acquire and maintain permanent housing.
• Track placements and conduct follow-up of clients placed into permanent housing.
• Advocate with clients to overcome barriers and achieve goals.
