The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated individual to monitor client behavior and ensure safety in an emergency housing program. This role involves compliance with shelter rules and providing a secure environment for staff and clients. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in a security or social service setting. Physical ability to lift light materials is required, and the position may involve outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Monitors the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army emergency housing program; guards the safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with shelter rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients.
Key responsibilities :
What we are looking for in you :
High School Diploma or (preferred but not required)
Six months experience working with the public with experience working in a security or social service environment preferred,
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and / or push / pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility : duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.
Work is usually performed in a housing shelter environment where there are some physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, and heat, or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
