Job summary

Home Group in the UK is seeking a Housing and Property Lead to focus on tenancy support, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained, and to deliver a housing management service that helps customers move to secure, long-term accommodation.

You will manage a housing caseload, assist with rent accounts, potentially issue notices, and help turnaround vacant rooms while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a housing caseload and landlord duties.
• Know-how of re-letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
• Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
• The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
• Confident collaborating with colleagues and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Ensure properties are maintained and tenants are engaged in their tenancies.
• Assist customers with housing benefit claims on rent accounts.
• Issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to court actions.
• Turn around vacant rooms/units and maximize occupancy within set timescales.

This is a great opportunity to join our team. As our Housing and Property Lead, you'll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you'll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!

What You'll Do

• Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you'll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
• Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
• Where there is a need, you'll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
• Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you'll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales.
• Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You have

The practical bits

• You'll work Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with some flexibility. You'll manage your own diary.
• Based in our Falmouth service, also traveling to our Penzance service twice a week.
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
• To get from A to B, you'll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we'll pay your mileage!
• You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
