Job summary

The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Housing for a full-time role in Michigan. This grant-funded position supports maintaining safe, functional housing by completing maintenance work orders and ensuring a secure living environment.

Responsibilities include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, preventative maintenance, and grounds work. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, 2+ years in maintenance, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ and high school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with the Tribe’s insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and skilled maintenance: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, appliances, HVAC.
• Completes work orders and maintains daily records: labor and materials.
• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance activities.
• Performs grounds work: lawn care, landscaping, debris removal.
• Reads blueprints and related diagrams to determine required work.
• Maintains safety and trains/observes safety policies.
