Horizons in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Housing & Financial Wellness Counselor to assist individuals and families in building financial stability, preparing for homeownership, and navigating housing challenges. The role offers training to become HUD-certified, with a flexible schedule and potential evening/workshop hours.

You will provide one-on-one counseling, help clients improve credit and manage debt, and connect them with community resources.

Qualificações

• No previous housing counseling experience required—we'll provide training and support to help the right candidate become HUD-certified Housing Counselor within four months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide one-on-one counseling on homebuying, housing stability, foreclosure prevention, budgeting, and credit.
• Help clients improve credit, reduce debt, and prepare for successful homeownership.
• Develop individualized budgets and action plans, and connect clients to community resources.
• Maintain client records per Horizons and HUD requirements.
• Help facilitate homebuyer education and financial workshops, and take part in community outreach.
