• Performs general maintenance tasks and assists trades as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with department stakeholders about shutdowns or issues.
• Create and manage work orders in the Omni system.
• Complete general maintenance tasks and assist with major repairs.
• Maintain non-trade mechanical items in housing rooms and public areas.
• Receive direction for calls via radio.
• Coordinate with other trades for major repairs.
• Clean work areas after job completion.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and tools.
• Use power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
• Ensure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.
