Job summary

Project Renewal seeks an Entitlement’s Specialist for Willow Tree Residence, a 130-unit congregate care housing program in Manhattan. You will handle eligibility, subsidies, and entitlements, coordinating with DHS and city agencies to manage leases and move-ins.

Role requires LIHTC certification, a relevant degree or experience, and strong Excel/Adobe skills. You’ll work with tenants and staff to ensure compliant rent processing and reporting as part of a busy urban program.

Qualifications

• LIHTC certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with relevant experience in housing or social services.
• Experience with rental subsidy programs and LIHTC requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Adobe.
• Knowledge of case management and property management databases (including MDS).

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with government agencies and third parties during lease-up.
• Reviewing housing applications and determining eligibility for DHS referrals.
• Making eligibility determinations and maintaining waiting lists.
• Assisting tenants with entitlements, income certifications, and HPD subsidies.
• Coordinating intake, move-in processes, and lease documents.
• Providing information on entitlements with city, state, and federal programs.
• Updating rent account data in the agency’s software.
• Tracking and analyzing rent and subsidy payments.
• Serving as liaison to Fiscal Office and entitlement program reps.
• Tracking vacancies and generating monthly rent statements.
