Job summary

Florida Atlantic University is seeking several Custodial Workers in Boca Raton, FL. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and public areas, removing trash, and performing light maintenance. Typical duties include moving furniture for setups and assisting with linen changes.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or completion of 9th grade with one year of appropriate experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and assigned areas using proper cleaning methods, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, waxing, and vacuuming; replenishes supplies.
• Cleans kitchens, lounges, hallways, stairwells, offices, conference rooms and other public areas as assigned.
• Removes trash/garbage and recycle items; cleans receptacles and janitorial closets.
• Cleans furnishings, light fixtures, and vents; dusts and washes as needed.
• Washes windows and sweeps stairwells; reports damages to supervisor.
• Undergoes special projects such as moving furniture, room setup, linen changes, and minor maintenance.

• Washes windows and/or sweeps stairwells.

• Reports building damages or problems to supervisor.

• Performs job-related special projects. May include moving furniture or furnishings, room set up including linen or changing linen, and minor maintenance as necessary.
