Job summary

Community Reach Center is hiring a Housing Coordinator for our HUD Project Division. You will observe and document client behavior, report progress toward treatment goals, provide one-on-one support with housing concerns, and help maintain a safe environment under the direction of the Program Manager.

Responsibilities include homeless outreach, trauma-informed interventions, crisis management, plan development with clients, housing services coordination, and HQS inspections, plus state voucher

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Must become HQS certified.
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role or training.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Strong communication, organization, time-management and clinical skills.

  • Provide trauma-informed interventions that minimize harm and promote client empowerment.
  • Participate in crisis and behavior management/de-escalation interventions according to state regulations, training and best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify strengths, develop treatment and disposition plans, and support the client in regaining control.
  • Develop and facilitate therapeutic housing services and assist with case management functions.
  • Report building maintenance requests/issues promptly and conduct all HQS inspections.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and oversee the State voucher program.

About this Role

The Housing Coordinator ("Coordinator") is an integral member of Community Reach Center’s HUD Project Division. The Coordinator observes and documents client behavior and progress toward treatment goals, provides one‑on‑one support with housing concerns, ensures a safe environment, and performs additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Participate in homeless outreach and maintain HMIS requirements.
  • Provide trauma‑informed interventions that minimize harm and promote client empowerment.
  • Participate in crisis and behavior management/de‑escalation interventions according to state regulations, training and best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify strengths, develop treatment and disposition plans, and support the client in regaining control.
  • Develop and facilitate therapeutic housing services and assist with case management functions.
  • Report building maintenance requests/issues promptly and conduct all HQS inspections.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and oversee the State voucher program.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard.
  • Close vision required for computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting.
  • Regular, predictable attendance.
Schedule

Monday – Thursday 10‑hour days (7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) with a ½ hour lunch. May travel to Brighton office and to Coronado up to three days a week for in‑home inspections and HQS inspections.

Pay Information

Eligible for $250/month Bilingual Stipend. Starting pay range: $23.50 – $27.00 per hour.
