Job summary

STEP, Inc. in Williamsport, PA is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee residential construction and weatherization projects, provide field technical leadership, and ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with program requirements.

The role combines project management, estimating, quality control, customer interaction, and hands-on construction expertise across a range of housing improvements, energy-efficiency projects, and related field activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year experience as Housing & Building Initiatives Construction Supervisor II or related construction training.
• Proficiency with word processing and database software.
• Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Managing daily operations of assigned projects including setup, crew prep, direct supervision, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Overseeing audits and estimates to determine scope and material requirements.
• Supervising electrical, plumbing, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry work.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, permits, zoning, historic approvals, and other regulations.
• Entering estimated and actual costs into program systems for invoicing.
• Training program staff as assigned.
• Investigating customer concerns and ensuring project quality standards are met.
• Managing multiple projects while maintaining schedules and documentation.
