About the Hotel

Our 439-room Midtown high-rise is the closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station. We’re within one mile of Bryant Park, The Morgan Library, and Rockefeller Center. Take in unobstructed views of Manhattan and the East River skylines. Our historic Ambassador Grill and iconic lobby are both official New York City Interior Landmarks.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a hotel houseperson in a property of a similar size and full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Shift & Pay

Shift Pattern: Full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range: $29.15 - $38.87 / hour

Job Responsibilities

As a Houseperson, your responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests. Specific tasks include:

• Cleaning designated areas such as restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting rooms
• Performing dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, and disposing of trash
• Greeting guests in a friendly manner
• Reporting maintenance issues
• Stocking and maintaining supply rooms
• Performing deep cleaning and special projects as needed
• Delivering guest requests and assisting with cleaning guest rooms
