Job summary

Valencia Hotel Group is seeking a housekeeping associate for Hotel Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX. You will provide courteous service to hotel guests, stock housekeeping supplies, and maintain hallways and areas as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities include assisting with room readiness, delivering requests, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver linen, sort linen, assist with cleaning projects.
• Vacuum guest corridors and assist with guest laundry.
• Discard trash from guest rooms, corridors and service landings.
• Assist with room readiness and moving furniture as needed.
• Deliver glassware and fulfill other requests from supervisors or managers.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide excellent service to hotel guest rooms in a devoted and efficient manner. Responsible for stocking housekeeping supplies for the various housekeeping functions in the hotel, clean, and maintain the guest hallways and other hotel areas as assigned. Support and service the room attendants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

Operational Responsibilities

• Responsible for but not limited to the following duties: delivering/carrying down and sorting linen, special cleaning projects, vacuuming guest corridors, delivering guest laundry, discarding trash from guest rooms/corridors/service landings, room readiness, moving furniture, delivering glassware and other requests by supervisors or managers

Guest Services

• Responsible for delivering guest requests and guest interaction to the Valencia standard.

Communication and Reporting

• Constant communication with management or supervisors. Must be able to navigate a work phone and communicate via hotel provided applications.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintaining a safe environment, following hotel policies, or meeting industry compliance standards. Ensure chemicals are used according to OSHA regulations and Hotel Valencia standards.

Physical Requirements

• Standing/Walking: Constantly. Often for long periods.
• Crouching (Bend at knees): Frequently. Bending to vacuum and perform cleaning duties.
• Stooping (Bend at waist): Frequently
• Pushing/Pulling: Frequently. Pushing 200-pound cart.
• Lifting/Carrying: Frequently. Lifting 50 lbs.

Working Environment

• Interior: All interior areas of the hotel.
• Exterior: Balconies, loading dock and sidewalk of exterior of building.

BASICS

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately
• Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor

QualificationsCANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not necessary.
