Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to support banquet operations and ensure flawless event setup and guest service. The role includes lifting equipment, moving heavy items, and interacting with guests across varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous convention services and set-up experience is an asset

What You’ll Do:

The Houseperson is responsible forset-ups and tear-down of Banquet rooms in which a great deal of lifting, carrying, and moving of moderate weight equipment is involved. This position must also interact with guests frequently and offer all Hyatt guests authentic guest service. The candidate for this position must be available to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays (early mornings, late evenings).

This position’s hourly rate is $19.90/hr. This role is eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include hours ranging between 6am-12am and weekends and holidays.
• Previous convention services and set-up experience is an asset
• Previous Banquets experience is an asset
• Must demonstrate proven qualities of an excellent team player with leadership skills

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting of up to 50lbs
• Frequent standing throughout shift
• Frequent walking throughout the shift
• Occasional ascending or descendingstairs, ladders and ramps
