Job summary

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa in Orlando, FL seeks a Houseperson to support the housekeeping team with cleaning guest rooms, stocking closets with linens, and responding to guest requests. You will help maintain a clean, safe hotel environment and report maintenance issues as needed.

The role requires physical work, ability to lift 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license, and passing a background check and drug test to work in the United States.

As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for supporting the housekeeping team by providing assistance with a variety of tasks, such as cleaning guest rooms, stocking storage closets, and responding to guest requests. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the hotel premises are clean and well-maintained.

You will:

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, including changing bed linens, vacuuming carpets, and dusting furniture
• Stock storage closets with clean linens, towels, and other supplies
• Respond to staff and guest requests for assistance, such as providing extra towels or making a bed
• Walk the hotel premises to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained
• Report any maintenance issues to the housekeeping supervisor

• Demonstrates a friendly and positive demeanor
• Possesses a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be comfortable working in a variety of outdoor weather conditions (i.e., hot, cold, wet, humid, etc.)
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must have proof of a valid driver's license
