Job summary

InterContinental The Clement Monterey is seeking a reliable Housekeeping House Person / Lobby Attendant in Monterey, CA. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour for a full-time, non-exempt role within our housekeeping team, supporting daily operations and guest requests.

You will maintain cleanliness of public and back-of-house areas, assist Room Attendants, and help with linen distribution, supply restocking, and special projects while delivering friendly, professional service to guests.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred.
• Hotel experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and guest service skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairways, and back-of-house areas
• Assist Room Attendants with linen distribution, supply restocking, and special projects
• Deliver guest requests and amenities promptly and professionally
• Deep clean carpets, rugs, furniture, and other assigned areas as needed
• Move and arrange furniture for hotel operations and events
• Ensure housekeeping storage areas and linen closets remain organized and fully stocked
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and lost & found procedures
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests and fellow team members

Join our Housekeeping team at the beautiful InterContinental The Clement Monterey, located on historic Cannery Row. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Housekeeping House Person / Lobby Attendant who takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming, and memorable experience for our guests.

As a House Person, you will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest and public areas throughout the hotel while supporting the housekeeping team with daily operations and guest requests.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
