Windsor Hospitality at Embassy Suites Lompoc Central Coast is seeking a part-time Houseperson to join our hospitality team. You will help maintain clean rooms, assist room attendants, hang draperies, dust and polish, restock supplies and support the front desk and housekeeping staff to deliver a warm guest experience.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and wearing a uniform with a name badge. We offer competitive benefits and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work any shift, including holidays and weekends.
• Capable of following supervisor instructions and coordinating with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with flipping mattresses and move furniture as assigned.
• Assist room attendants to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Hang draperies and dust, polish, and clean furniture.
• Restock supplies and manage linen and waste as needed.
• Clean bathrooms, replenish supplies, and refurnish rooms.
• Transport and deliver items to guest rooms and assist with pool areas.
• Clean hallways, lobbies, restrooms, floors and other areas using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain uniform and name badge; uphold guest service philosophy.

About this Location:

This position is located at the Embassy Suites in Lompoc, CA. Ideally situated within walking distance of Lompoc restaurants, Embassy Suites by Hilton Lompoc Central Coast offers guests a relaxing stay in a variety of comfortable room styles. The charming hotel is within three miles of Sta. Rita Hills Wine Center and the Wine Ghetto, and just a short drive to the Lompoc Flower Fields and Vandenberg Space Force Base.

Why do we need you?

To perform a combination of tasks, which maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.

What you will do:

1. Assist with flipping mattresses and move furniture as assigned by Supervisor.
2. Assist room attendants in order to maintain high standards of quality.
3. Hang draperies as required.
4. Dusts furniture and equipment.
5. Polishes metalwork and furniture.
6. Collects soiled linens for laundry and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closets.
7. Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
8. Refurnishes room with supplies, towels, etc. as required.
9. Supplies own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
10. May deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll-a-way beds to guest rooms.
11. May clean swimming pool.
12. May remove debris, clean driveways, and garage areas.
13. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas.
14. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
15. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
16. Wash walls, windows, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork.
17. Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
18. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
19. Replaces light bulbs.
20. Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge.
21. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
22. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Skills and Abilities you bring:

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions; lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
• Flexible availability to work any shift/day, including holidays and weekends.
• Comfortable with using a radio to communicate with the front desk and housekeeping supervisors

Schedule & Hours:

This position is part-time. The role follows a rotating schedule (Monday-Sunday). Ability to work any scheduled day of the week and time of day, including holidays, based on business needs is required.
