Our property team members help our buildings thrive by focusing on execution and ensuring a great experience for both residents and guests. Our non-property team members support property execution and the evolution of other areas within our platform. They can enjoy remote-first work with the freedom to choose their location — as long as they have access to a workspace and reliable Wi-Fi. We believe collaboration is key, so our remote-first teams and property leaders have biannual in-person get-togethers at various locations across the US.

From corporate non-property team members to our property teams and leaders, we’re looking for collaborative, driven individuals to join us as we continue to expand our presence.

The impact you'll have

At Placemakr, we know how cleanliness across amenities and common areas contributes to a world-class experience. As a Houseperson, your mission is to support our front of house and back of house team members through your daily tasks to ensure we are consistently operating in compliance with Placemakr’s standard of service while being the responsible party for the cleanliness of all common areas of our property. We are seeking individuals who have a utility player mentality, excellent time management skills, and take pride in how their work contributes to the overall operation.

This is a full-time position requiring ability to work during the week, weekend, evenings and holidays. The exact days of the week will be rotational.

Your typical day

  • Consistently provide an exceptional experience to all Placemakr guests, residents and partners.
  • Foster a "one team" mentality by collaborating effectively with fellow property team members when needed.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and compliant environment for team members and guests.
  • In compliance with Placemakr cleanliness standards, clean and remove trash from public areas, lobby, gym, restrooms, elevators, employee break room and offices, and assigned guest units, as needed.
  • Complete all assigned daily tasks in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers (i.e. guests, team members and vendors).
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

What it takes

  • 1+ year of previous housekeeping, cleaning or lobby attendant/porter experience (hospitality-specific experience a plus!).
  • You have previous experience effectively managing competing priorities and multi-tasking.
  • You have a can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • You demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • You embody our Property Team Mission of Customer, Consistency and Community.
  • You lead by example and embody the core values of Placemakr.
  • Housepeople will be on their feet and moving around and taking a hands-on approach to work.

This position is located in the MidCity District neighborhood of Huntsville, AL. The pay rate is $19.00/hour.
