Job summary

Country Club of Buffalo is seeking a part-time Houseman to assist with event setup and takedown across indoor and outdoor spaces in Williamsville, NY. You will place and remove tables, chairs, and equipment, move furniture, and assist with room flips for golf tournaments and member events.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule and be available for early mornings and later evenings depending on event setup and takedown needs.
• May be required to work extended shifts for larger tournaments, member functions, and special events.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tables, chairs, tents, furniture, and other equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed to prepare the Club for events.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down tables, chairs, tents, and event equipment.
• Move furniture and equipment throughout the Club and grounds.
• Set up and take down areas for golf tournaments, member functions, banquets, parties, and meetings.
• Assist with indoor and outdoor event setups.
• Assist with room flips and changing spaces between events.
• Move and transport supplies, furniture, and equipment as needed.
• Set up and take down outdoor areas for tournaments and member events.
• Follow event diagrams and setup sheets to ensure proper placement of equipment.
• Return furniture, equipment, and supplies to storage after events.
• Assist with loading and unloading event equipment and deliveries.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Assist Food & Beverage and other departments with event setup and takedown as needed.

SUMMARY

The Houseman is responsible for the set up and take down of tables, chairs, tents, furniture, and equipment for Club tournaments, member functions, banquets, and special events. This position helps ensure all event spaces are properly prepared before an event and returned to their original condition afterward.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and take down tables, chairs, tents, and event equipment.
• Move furniture and equipment throughout the Club and grounds.
• Set up and take down areas for golf tournaments, member functions, banquets, parties, and meetings.
• Assist with indoor and outdoor event setups.
• Assist with room flips and changing spaces between events.
• Move and transport supplies, furniture, and equipment as needed.
• Set up and take down outdoor areas for tournaments and member events.
• Become familiar and comfortable with table diagrams, setup sheets, and event instructions provided by the Director of Catering.
• Follow event diagrams and setup sheets to ensure tables, chairs, and equipment are placed correctly.
• Return furniture, equipment, and supplies to their proper storage areas after events.
• Assist with loading and unloading event equipment and deliveries.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Assist Food & Beverage and other departments with event setup and take down as needed.
• Follow proper safety procedures when lifting and moving equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
